Manufactured 1915-1940. Factory letter states that this gun was shipped January 16th, 1936 to the Washington State Patrol in Olympia, Washington. It was shipped with a 6 - 1/2" barrel, fixed sights, blue finish, butt swivel, and checkered walnut grips. Shipment was for 12 units stamped "WASHINGTON STATE PATROL" on backstrap. The backstrap has the remains of two letters, but is basically devoid of Washington marking. Matching numbers on barrel and cylinder. Revolver sports black disk, walnut diamond checkered grips that are numbered to another gun. Built on the N frame with five screw, six shot, double action, and blued finish. Revolver has a trigger shoe added and a rubber grip adapter. Barrel is thinning on both sides. Trigger guard and straps are toning. Cylinder has drag line; retains about 80-85% blue. Razor sharp legends. Excellent to near mint grips. Near mint bore and fine action.
