Factory letter states that this revolver was shipped April 9th, 1925, to Piedmont Hardware Co. of Danville, Virginia, with 5 - 1/2" barrel, blue finish, butt swivel, and checkered walnut non-medallion grips. It is listed as a commercial version. Matching numbers on barrel and cylinder, and in pencil on right grip panel. There is a factory return star on butt but no refinish date stamped on inside grip frame. Built of the five screw square butt N frame, six shot, blue finish with case colored hammer and trigger. Sports non-medallion diamond checkered walnut grips. Listed by the factory as the .45 Hand Ejector Model. Excellent condition retaining 90% original factory blue finish, thinning a bit on barrel, with drag line and strong case colors. Excellent to near mint grips. Fine action and strong, clean bore. These commercial revolvers are very scarce, especially in this condition.
