Manufactured circa 1899 seeing use in England bearing British nitro proofs on the receiver and barrel. Classic 26" blued octagon "Special Smokeless Steel" barrel chambered in .30-30 Winchester with Rocky Mountain sights and full length magazine tube. Case hardened take down receiver marked "MARLIN SAFETY" and "Model / 1893". Stocks are plain walnut with a crescent butt plate and steel nose cap. CONDITION: Very good overall. Barrel and loading gate retain significant portions of factory applied blued finish drifting to a plum patina with some freckling. Receiver exhibits a mottled gray patina with a few flashes of dulled case colors in protected areas. Stocks have been refinished with only a couple minor handling marks visible. Bright, strong bore. Mechanically fine. BAS
