Nice early war Garand with featuring "D28287 18SA" marked bolt (incorrect), "D28290-12SA" on trigger group (correct), "SA 12-42" barrel (correct), "D35382 6 SA" on unaltered operating rod (correct). Also includes correct era lock back rear sight, slotted gas plug, and walnut stock. Legible but not entirely readable "SA / EMcF" cartouche on left side of stock, with Ordnance crossed cannons (very faint), and block proof "P" under wrist. CONDITION: 80% original arsenal matte blue. Stock has great figure with proper stamps. Wood excellent with usual minor bumps. Bolt lot number is off and may have few replaced parts but not they would detect using basic break down. All major parts are correct for era. Comes with a 1942 sling. Nice example of early World War II semi-automatic Garand.
