Circa 1929. A nice droplock 20 bore game gun with 28" dovetail blued barrels. Shiny barrels with 2 -3/4" chambers, ejectors, and dolls head extension on smooth game concave rib. Rib reads "WESTLEY RICHARDS 23 CONDUIT ST LONDON". Rib is fit with small brass mid-bead and larger white bead. Barrel flats with evidence of refurb and nitro reproof. Chokes are Improved Modified in left barrel and Improved Cylinder in right. Muted case colored scalloped action with third fastener locking mechanism, patent single mechanical selective trigger, blacked lightly engraved top lever, serrated slide safe, "SAFE" in gold. Gun is built with auto safe feature. Walnut stock with straight and smoky oil finish has a fine and sharply checkered English straight grip and oval engraved "D.M.D". Buttstock is finished with a brown leather recoil pad. Splinter forend with fine checkering, blacked Deeley latch release and ebony tip. Blacked trigger guard with long bottom strap is engrave with guns serial number "1783". Gun with newer leather case, nickel plated snap caps, oil bottle and cleaning accessories. Case lid with newer white trade label. CONDITION: Excellent as per 1980s refurbishment. Barrels very good with very few and light handling marks. Action, trigger and ejectors all very good. Stock and forend very good. Case very good. Nicely maintained gun.
