Winchester Model 12 "Super Field" slide action shotgun made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1959. Blued Winchester Proof Steel Barrel with ventilated rib, twin bead sights, and Winchester Proof in correct off to the side position with fixed "WS-1" choke. Blue takedown receiver with sandblasted top with push button safety and matted finish. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with steel grip cap and Pachmayr solid rubber recoil pad. Walnut checkered full beavertail forearm. Howard Hawks’ collection piece with notarized letter of Provenance included from Howard’s granddaughter Kate Hawks, daughter of his son Peter Hawks. Biography included of Howard Winchester Hawks – an American film director, producer and screenwriter of the classic Hollywood era. CONDITION: 90% original blue with some light carry wear. 90% of a reapplied finish with some light scratches and dings and cut for applied pad. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
