Built 1936. A side by side game gun with 26" blued steel barrels, ejectors, matte concave tapered rib with special white and brass front bead sight. Left barrel reads "WINCHESTER 16 GAUGE 2 3/4 CHAM". Bottom of barrels with choke indications of (Left) "MOD." and (Right) "IMP CYL". Bottoms of barrels also stamped "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL". Barrel flat stamped "6939" for serial number. Shiny black boxlock action with blacked top lever, auto safe push serrated slide, and mechanical blacked single trigger with integral push button barrel selector. Safe in gold. The reddish brown walnut stock has been built with a 2 panel checkered pistol grip and finished with a black spacer and a brown rubber pad. The pistol grip is adorned with a custom silver and gold grip cap that has also been engraved with floral scroll and a banner with the initials "A.O.P" engraved. the matched checkered beavertail forend has Winchester's traditional roller forend release. Gun lives in a traditional Browning takedown case. Accompanied by a Cody letter with measurements matching, except Drop at heel off by 1/8" (2 - 1/2" on letter) and a hard rubber buttplate. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels retain 98% original blue with a slight bit of freckling near muzzle. Action, ejectors, and trigger are all sound. Stock good with handling marks. Forearm very good with just a few slight handling marks. Nice gun. CP
