Transitional Model 70 stamped for "7M/M". Lyman receiver sight, hooded ramp front sight. Semi-buckhorn mid sight. Receiver has matte rib and is drilled and tapped with filler screws. Sling swivels at forend and near toe. Checkered steel buttplate. Checkered forend and pistol grip. Bolt has been electropencilled to match receiver. Trigger guard has a faint "W / (arrow)" proof. Box magazine has been modified from a short cartridge magazine. CONDITION: Rifle has been professionally refinished and reconverted to 7mm, retains majority of the refinishing. "Winchester / Trade Mark" logo has distinct lines on sides where rebluing occurred. Receiver proof is washed out. Barrel legends are sharp, restamped, with the "M"s significantly lighter in strike. Wood has extensive marks from handling but complete. As this is a reconversion, a competent gunsmith should confirm that the gun is safe to operate.
