Circa 1930. A vintage game gun with 30" blued steel barrels. Barrels are fit with 2 - 3/4" chambers and extractors. Barrels have been built with a narrow tapered rib with a doll's head extension and a round front bead sight. Rib reads "W.J. JEFFERY & CO. LTD. 9 GOLDEN SQUARE . RGEGENT ST. LONDON W.1.". Barrel flats indicate London nitro reproof date of 2008. Flats stamped "70MM", "20 / C" in diamond, "7/8". Chokes are Full in left barrel and Modified in right. Small boxlock action with grey patina, third fastener, double triggers, blacked top lever blacked and scored safe slide. SAFE is engraved. Gun is auto-safe. Action is engraved with border scroll and "W.J. JEFFERY & CO. LTD." are in ribbon. Bottom action is blacked and lightly scroll engraved. Brown straight grain walnut stock with English straight hand grip, vacant oval, and black leather covered pad. Grip with sharp checkering. Triggers are protected with a copper plum-colored trigger guard with border scroll engraving. Trigger guard extends to a long 2-toned bottom strap that is engraved with the gun's serial number "35304". Splinter snap forend with good checkering and lightly engraved blacked hardware. Gun comes leather VC case, snap caps and cleaning tools. CONDITION: Very good as gun benefits from a UK recent restoration. Barrels are good with most all of their color. Action and triggers are very good. Stock is very good with benefits of restoration. Forend is very good. The case is very good.
