This revolver falls into the proper serial number range. It is identical to the Victory Model. Matching numbers on barrel, cylinder and frame. Features six shot, double action, dull military phosphate finish and smooth walnut grips. No U.S. stamp. Marked "AF" with broad arrow stamped on the left side. Bottom of walnut grip is stamped "Made in Australia". Right side of grip has the "AF" with arrow and imperial crown cartouche. Retains approximately 75-80% of the war-time finish with some strong case colors on hammer and trigger. Strong, clean bore and perfect lock-up. Finish is referred to as the "Black Magic" finish. Great Britain/Australian war-time production Smith & Wesson. These were made in the U.S. for lend-lease or purchase to England and Australia.
