Exceptionally fine condition U.S. Model 19 mortar as registered by Hamilton and Sons. This 60 mm mortar was the successor to the U.S. M2 mortar, and used the same ammunition. It has a versatile advantage of a simple base plate and trigger fire. This makes it a particularly attractive mortar for the modern recreational enthusiast. Included with this lot are 2 inert 60 mm projectiles complete with inert fuses and fin assemblies in excellent condition. A nice, relatively light Company level piece of “Pocket Artillery”. From the collector and recreational standpoint, this is about as attractive a piece as one could ever hope to find. It is versatile, portable, and fires with a trigger. These almost never surface for public sale, because as soon as there is whisper that one might be available, it is sold and gone. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish extremely fine to near excellent attractive smooth parkerized finish on metal parts. Bore is extremely fine and absolutely clean. Mechanics are crisp. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS A DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE. JWK 2021-04-014
