Circa 1971. An Over Under game gun with 2 sets of monobloc blued steel barrels and ejectors. Barrel lengths are (A) 26" and (B) 28". Barrels are built with low profiled matte ventilated ribs with 2 - 3/4" chambers. Barrels read that the chokes on (A/26) are Improved Modified and Improved Cylinder. Chokes on (B/28) are Full and Modified. The rib on the (A/26) barrel has a center bead and missing its front bead. The (B/28) has a white front sight bead. The sidelock action with bolt locking mechanism is handsomely engraved with an impressive ornamental floral scroll pattern. Bottom action also engraved "BREVE. T TATO MADE IN ITALY", "P. BERETTA * GARDONE V.T.". Engraving by "G. Bertella" which is signed on the right side of the trigger plate. The gold washed checkered single trigger is protected by a blacked floral scroll engraved trigger guard that extends to a 3/4 length bottom tang which is engraved with floral scroll and the guns serial number "38771". The blacked engraved top lever is adorned with an inlay of a gold crown. Action is a pinned non-auto safe with thumb slide barrel selector. Sidelock with hidden fastener hand detachable locks. Nicely figured European capped pistol grip stock is finished with a checkered butt. Slender game hunting forend with blacked latch release. Gun travels in a Browning styled case with 2 extra chokes, choke wrench, 2 spare firing pins, 2 snap caps, lube, and Briley maintenance pamphlet. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels retain the majority of their original blue. It is of our opinion that the longer set of barrels (B/28" were not made to the gun as there is no serial barrel on the barrel and barrel also reads S04. The 28" barrel can sometimes have the top ejector have a snap cap slide beneath it upon ejecting. Barrels have had chokes altered. Action and trigger are very good. Stock and forend with some minor handling marks. Gun remains in very good overall condition with very minor handling marks. CP
