Built in 1986. A beautiful combination 2 barrel set safari grade double rifle built in Ferlach, Austria. (A/.375 H&H) barrels with chopper lump 25 - 3/4" barrels of Bohler Rasant steel. Barrels are fit with gold washed ejectors. Rib with machine filed island base front sight with brass bladed tip, machine filed quarter rib, claw mounts, 2 gold lined folding sights at 100 and 200 yards and rib extension. Rib reads "Hergestellt von Franz Sodia, Ferlach fur Saeed Ullah Kahn'". The (B/.458 Win Mag.) barrels are fit with gold washed ejectors and rib is fit with machine filed island front sight with brass bladed tip, machine filed quarter rib with two gold lined folding sights at 100 and 150 yards and also with rib extension. Rib reads "Hergestellt von Franz Sodia, Ferlach fur Saeed Ullah Kahn'". Both sets of barrels are fit with matching European walnut splinter forends. Forends with scroll engraved iron metal and brushed steel and blacked scroll engraved latch releases. The rifles gold 5 pin sidelock action with gold cocking indicator, gold wash ejector levers, gold wash set disk strikers also has a sidelock viewing window on right lock plate. When viewing window is open the gold wash action springs can be seen. Receiver and action are handsomely hand engraved with scrolls and African Game Scenes. Left lock plate with Cape Buffalo in an African field. Right lock plate with a male lion sitting and 2 female lions (1 sitting and 1 standing), all in an African field. Bottom of the receiver with matching scroll and a large male elephant in a field looking off to its left. Engraving by Severin. The sidelock action is built with double triggers with the front being hinged. Blacked top lever with a Greener style cross locking bolt and is fully engraved and checkered thumb piece with matched blacked engraved and serrated thumb safe. "S" in gold. The Turkish walnut stock with straight and smoky figure, shadow line cheekpiece is completed by thin brown rubber "OLD ENGLISH", "PACHMAYER" pad. The pistol grip with 2 panel diamond checkering has a scroll engraved grip cap with door for extra front sight. The blacked trigger guard is engraved with scrolls and extends to a bottom strap which is engraved with scroll and has engraved "S.U.K.1" inlayed in gold. The rifle resides in a oxblood colored leather case with brass corners. The inner lid has label has a plaque which read "Made for Saeed Ullah Kahn Paracha by Franz Sodia, Ferlach - Austria September 1986". There's also a gold stenciled label which reads Franz Sodia Ferlach (Austria). Inside the case is a Swarovski Optik Tirol Habicht 1,5-6x42 Nova scope which is in the engraved claw mount. In addition there are spare rifle parts including a pair of firing pins, 2 coil springs, and cleaning equipment. CONDITION: Excellent. Both sets of barrels retain mostly all of their original blue. Action, triggers and ejectors are excellent. Stock and forends are also excellent. Great Double Rifle. CP
