Fearful of the Gun Control Act of 1993, H&K modified the SL-8 series significantly from its G36 parent to include a receiver incapable of accepting the folding stock and a single stack magazine system that cannot accept double stack magazines. To enhance the sporting aspect of the weapon, it featured a heavy barrel for increased accuracy. Features on the rifle include a polymer thumbhole stock, adjustable spacer system, and a modular fore end and sighting system. This particular model sports a fore end with a Knight's Armament Company aluminum forend, Harris Ultra-Light 6-9" bipod, and rail covers at 3, 9, and 12 o'clock positions. Sighting system is a handle integrated optic with bullet drop compensator and 1.5x magnification. Gun comes with two 30 round Pro-Mag single stack magazines and two HK SL8-1 branded ten round single stack magazines. Gun also comes with OEM polymer fore end, OEM iron sight bar, extra rail covers, sling, extra screws, two extra length of pull spacers, and differently sized cheek pieces. CONDITION: Gun is in good condition overall. Stock and rails are very nice with only light handling marks. Barrel is dark but shootable. Excellent manual mechanics. An excellent piece for a shooter or H&K enthusiast.
