Circa 1985. An early (DHE), D grade, prototype gun with 2 sets of blued steel barrels, one being 26" and the other is 28". Both sets of barrels are nicely fitted with doll's head extensions, matte machined tapered concave game ribs with brass round front bead sights, and ejectors. The barrels are choked with (A/26") Modified & Improved Cylinder and (B/28") Full & Modified. Barrels read "Parker Reproduction by WINCHESTER - 20 GAUGE. 2 3/4" & 3". The nicely case colored boxlock action is appointed with a single selective mechanical trigger and is auto safe. Action is engraved with scrolls and bears a pointing setter dog in field on left and a pointing pointer on right. Bottom action is adorned with scrolls and with 2 pheasants flying and 1 pheasant standing in a field. "PARKER" is also engraved at bottom. The honey blonde slender pistol grip stock with sharp checkered panels is fitted with a Parker plastic grip cap, oval for initials and blacked engraved skeleton plate over checkered butt stock. Matched slender splinter forend with fancy finely checkered grip is also fitted with a Deeley styled engraved latch release. Iron metal has been case colored and is engraved. Gun and barrels live in a Parker Reproduction 2 barrel set, toe under leather case with canvas outer. Case is fitted with a pair of 20 bore nickel plated snap caps. CONDITION: Very good. Both set of barrels retain 98% original blue. Action is sound and barrels are tight on face. Ejectors are in time and trigger is crisp to pull. Case colors are fading in some areas. Stock and forearm are both good with light handling marks. Case is very good. Nice 20 gauge setup. CP.
