Nice black enamel paint British Sten Mk II manufactured by Long Branch in 1944 according to markings on the top of the magazine housing, and registered by Charles Erb with his bullet logo manufacturer’s marking on the left side of the receiver tube. Three original 32-round magazines are included with this gun. The Sten MK II was manufactured in great numbers for WWII and is a very simple and straightforward machine gun made mostly of metal stampings. It was far less costly and quicker to produce than the previous models such as the Lanchester. The Sten machine gun found its way to every part of the British Empire, and to other countries as a reliable and compact machine gun which took commonly available ammunition. Electronic NFA registry indicates “CHARLES ERB” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent black enamel paint finish as repainted upon remanufacture. Bore is extremely fine with shiny rifling. Bolt face is extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. The STEN is a basic 9mm machine gun, as simply as they come, and a nice slow-firing gun, easily controllable. A fine entry-level machine gun, and one for the owner with an interest in WW2 as well. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL BEFORE TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4. JWK 2024-12-75.
