Fabulous condition Inland US M2 Carbine so marked on the receiver and barrel and in the correct 7000000 serial number range with “5-45” Inland barrel. As so many were, this gun has been retrofitted with adjustable rear peep sight and bayonet lug forward barrel band. Features a flip-type safety and original “IO” marked stock with four rivet hand guard. Also incorporates round bolt. Includes one 30 round magazine. Receiver serial number is the only visible serial number. The M2 Carbine was fielded at the very end of World War II with most going to the Pacific Theater. After the war, many M1 Carbines were retrofitted and made into M2 carbines by the U.S. Government. These guns saw service throughout the Korean and Vietnam War eras and were even supplied to other countries by the United States thereafter. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent just about mint arsenal refinish with some thinning where the charging handle rides on the receiver and on the round bolt. Wood is absolutely stellar. Bore near excellent shiny and bright. Bolt face is near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. Would be just about impossible to upgrade the condition of this specimen. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO & RELIC ELIGIBLE.
