Stunning and very much sought after fully transferable W.T. Carmichael & Sons Ltd manufactured Austen MK I machine gun. The Australians took the Sten design provided to them by the British and incorporated the folding stock, enclosed telescoping mainspring, and the grip profile of the German MP-40. Even the grip panels closely resemble those of the MP-40. They also incorporated a vertical pistol grip. The Austen (Australian Sten) machine gun is a very comfortable select-fire machine gun to shoot. Includes one 28 round original Austen magazine and one original Austen magazine filler, both manufactured by Die Casting Ltd. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent black enamel finish with some slight loss of finish at the high edges of the magazine well. Magazine and magazine loader also have a black enamel finish. Mechanics are fine. Bore has very good shiny rifling turning dark in the grooves. Bolt face is very fine. This is a select fire machine gun. Very rare to find available as a transferable and Curio and Relic eligible gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2019-10-133
