High condition and very desirable Colt manufactured U.S. M3 .50 caliber machine gun with highly desirable switch for single-shot or automatic fire capability. Serial number indicates this gun was manufactured between 1951-1952. Attractive wood handle grips. Carrying bail included on barrel with one spare heavy barrel and one standard “aircraft” barrel with chrome bearing at muzzle. A standard,“STAND, TRIPOD GROUND” “MK 123 MOD 0” tripod with stirrup and Traverse and Elevation unit is included with this lot as well as an original .50 caliber optical bore sight, headspace and timing gauge, and aftermarket sight bracket with a scope rail. Electronic NFA registry indicates “COLT” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent dull grey finish with only some light handling marks. Tripod is near excellent. Optical bore sight is clear with leveling bubble intact and serviceable. Bores of all three barrels are shiny and bright. Bolt face is extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp and positive. This is a select-fire machine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER.
