Exceptionally clean and attractive M3 Grease Gun as manufactured by Guide Lamp for use during World War II. Green web sling included. No magazine present, but these are readily available. Typical “Guide” on left side of magazine housing with crossed cannons arsenal marking, with Guide Lamp drawing numbers on action housing “G.L. C153432” and on underside of trigger guard “B.G.R.-GL / B-301456”. This specimen has the “fences” around the magazines release to prevent inadvertent dropping of the magazine from the housing as the gun is carried. The M3 cocks when the firer opens the ejection port cover then actuates a lever on the left side of the receiver to withdraw the bolt to the rear. The M3 was a contemporary successor to the Thompson machine gun during World War II as a less costly, and more rapidly produced machine gun. Electronic NFA registry indicates "INTERNATIONAL ARMAMENT CORP” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent smooth gray finish with a couple tiny handling marks. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a full-auto only machine gun. The U.S. M3 Grease gun is a very highly sought collectors item for both the World War II and shooting enthusiast. They are quite accurate and comfortable to shoot. This is an especially attractive piece. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2024-12-34.
