18-1/2" barrel in 6mm Remington caliber. In 1964, Remington produced a very limited number (1,020) of the newly introduced Model 600 bolt action rifle to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Montana statehood and the 100th anniversary of the founding of Montana. This special edition has an 1864 to 1964 medallion set into the right side of the stock. The left side of the frame is stamped "Montana Territorial Centennial 1864 - 1964 75th Anniversary of Statehood". All other features are as those found on standard rifles to include the vent rib (nylon somewhat wavy), sporting sights, blued finish, with press checkered walnut stock and serrated Remington buttplate. The bolt is finished in the white. Barrel and frame retain virtually all of the original factory blue finish. Walnut stock is excellent with a few of the usual found dings and impressions. It is obvious that this rifle has been used but remains in excellent original condition with a fine bore and action.
