4" barrel in 9mm caliber. Manufactured by Mauser for the German military, byf was assigned to Mauser. This is stamped 42 above chamber. Standard configuration, blued finish and checkered walnut grips. No straw colors. Salt blued. All matching numbers with the exception of black plastic bottom magazine and grips have inspectors marks but no numbers. Fine condition, all original, early war Luger. About the only wear to be found is on rails, sideplate, and muzzle. Still retains 95% or better finish with a fine bore and action. Magazine is stamped "fxo" with Waffenamt. Waffenamt stamps on right side of frame and barrel. Comes in a fine original bmd42 holster with extra plastic bottom magazine and takedown tool. The capture papers assign this weapon to Alec Visnic dated January 26th, 1946 naming this Luger by serial number along with holster and two clips for above. There is also a notarized letter about how the consignor obtained this weapon; stating that Alec Visnic was also stationed in Italy during the War.
