Standard U.S. issue military Model 1896 with 1901 upgrades. Left side of frame is stamped "RAC" for Renaldo A. Carr. Butt is stamped "U.S. ARMY MODEL 1896". Two piece walnut grips; left side is dated 1901 with visible partial cartouche, right side has "RAC" script cartouche. Bottom of right grip is stamped "RAC". Back of cylinder is stamped "RAC". Revolver retains approximately 85% of the original bright Colt factory blue with high edge wear and scattered freckling. Grips are excellent. Action locks up tight and has a fine, strong bore.
