Octagonal rifled steel barrel, signed "SX" near breech and retaining a heavy brown finish, removable touch hole. Flat lockplate face, lock browned. Plain brass furniture and form typical of York County, Pennsylvania. Full -length figured maple stock with relief-carved panels around lock and sideplate. High relief molded cheekpiece on left side of butt. Complete with wooden ramrod. This is a very high quality contemporary rifle and is a very accurate copy. Excellent condition, showing almost no use. A few light scattered storage marks.
