Gun (A) is a Long Branch made in 1943 that was then overhauled at Fazakerley arsenal in 1947 and so marked. Import marked on the left side of the receiver. Numbers are not matching. Retains 70% finish. Wood has some dings and handling marks, showing wear. Bore is fine with strong rifling. Fine mechanical function. Proper sling and standard spike bayonet with scabbard and frog. Gun (B) is a Savage made dated 1943. Retains 90% finish. The bolt is not matching and appears to have been cleaned. The bolt is very stiff in the gun and requires quite a bit of effort to manipulate. Magazine is not matching. Brass buttplate. Wood is in excellent sharp condition, proper British replacement. Excellent bore with sharp rifling. Proper Savage made and marked spike bayonet with squared off scabbard and frog.
