The General Officers Model was simply a dark, parkerized Colt pocket hammerless with checkered walnut grips with silver medallion that was issued to officers above the rank of lieutenant. This is an interesting example in that it was sent to England and bears all the tonnage markings on barrel, "BNP" crown markings on right side of slide and frame, frame marking directly below "U.S. PROPERTY" with crossed swords, left side of frame has the arsenal crossed cannons. This pistol is in near new condition inside and out. Shows no use aside from some normal storage marks. It is also housed in a matching number original manila box with serial number written on top and bottom. Includes wax paper, instruction booklet and receipt dated 1977 listing this gun by serial number, sold for $225 plus $2.50 shipping. A strong example of an early war production British shipped General Officers pistol in unfired condition in original box.
