Lot contains: Type 99 rifle, Type 99 rifle, and a Type 38 rifle. (A) A series 5, Type 99 rifle in 7.7mm Jap and manufactured by the Nagoya arsenal in 1943. Rifle is in very good condition with approximately 70% of its original finish which is thinning, especially on the trigger guard assembly, and a very good stock with a number of dings and scattered marks. Bore is in excellent condition, butt plate has about 25% bluing, and the cleaning rod is present. "Mum"is present and rifle has anti-aircraft rear sight. All bolt components, receiver, and bayonet lug are matching. (B) A series 5, Type 99 rifle in 7.7mm Jap and manufactured by the Nagoya arsenal. Rifle is in good condition with approximately 60% of its original finish thinning all over, and a good stock with numerous dings and scattered marks. Bore is in very good condition, butt plate has about 10% bluing remaining, and the cleaning rod is present. " All bolt components, receiver, and front bayonet lug are matching. "Mum" has been ground off, and anti-aircraft sight is missing. (C) An early, Type 38 rifle in 6.5mm Jap and manufactured by the Koishikawa arsenal. Rifle is in fair condition with approximately 35% overall of its original finish. Trigger guard and butt plate have none of its original finish remaining, and rifle has a walnut stock with numerous dings and scattered marks. Bore is in good condition, and the cleaning rod is present. "Mum" is present and rifle has the punched over zeroes, indicating training school use. Rifle is mismatched.
