EXTREMELY RARE HIGH ORIGINAL CONDITION ITHACA NID MODEL GRADE 4E 20 GAUGE ALL OPTION SHOTGUN WITH 32" BARRELS. ITHACA 4E 456683 20 GA MODERN; C&R; ESA Cal. 20 ga. 32" Best Fluid steel bbls. 2-3/4" chambers. Chokes full/full. Full length matted ventilated top rib with twin ivory beads. Sgl selective trigger, automatic ejectors, automatic safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock checkered with dbl Fleur-de-lis pattern, gold shield near toe and 14-1/4" LOP over lined HRBP. Beavertail forearm with Deeley release and small triangular ebony tip. Receiver is nicely engraved with pheasant on right, goose on left, in standard 4E pattern with shaded floral engraving throughout. All visible SN's match. WEIGHT: 7 lbs, 6 oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain nearly all of an expert quality restored finish. Buttstock and forearm are superb and retain virtually all of what appears to be their orig hand rubbed finish, checkering is still crisp, there is a near invisible grain separation on forearm near screw at frame. Receiver retains about half of its orig muted case color. Trigger guard retains approximately 80% orig blue. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. This is an extremely rare small bore Ithaca, suitable for the most discerning collector, and the only one in this configuration this cataloger can recall. 52388-2 JSL (7,500-11,500)
