U.S. HOTCHKISS MODEL 1916 37 MM CANON PARTS INCLUDING MULTIPLE BARRELS AND BRONZE AND STEEL MECHANISM PARTS.U.S.MODEL 1916NSN37 MMCal. 37MM. Bbl 34". The Hotchkiss Model 1916 cannon was a very interesting American troop support weapon during WWI. This grouping of parts came out of long-term storage, and the real gem is the forward assembly, which includes bbl, trunnion, cylinder and recuperation mechanism. No receiver is present. However, you will see numerous parts are included. Includes 7 hardwood brass-capped 37 mm cleaning rods w/ 4 brushes, 1 brass trunnion, 3 steel trunnions plus male side trunnion and steel female trunnion, 1 steel yoke, 11 aluminum cylinders, 1 gas port cap, 3 spare detent pins, 2 carrier slings, 2 bbls still in orig factory crate w/ crate marked "C.H. COWDREY MACHINE WORKS", 3 piston guide shafts and approx. 20 buffer springs. This is a non-gun parts lot only. CONDITION: Parts were in storage for decades and reflect it, w/ surface rust. The major assembly included in this lot would be very useful for someone who may have found the breach part in some static municipal monument, or who otherwise would like to make a display gun. 53167-1 JWK (800-2,500)
