EXCEPTIONAL CIVIL WAR REMINGTON MODEL 1863 ZOUAVE PERCUSSION RIFLE WITH BAYONET AND SCABBARD. REMINGTON 1863 NSN 58 Cal 58. 33″ bbl. This is beautiful example of the popular Remington Civil War rifle in extremely fine condition. This gun conforms to standard configuration brass mounted with blued rnd bbl with "VP"/eagle head proofs and "1863″ date on bbl tang, two cartouches on stock and inspector marks found on most every metal piece. This is a fine, complete and orig example of the popular brass mounted Remington rifle with fine stock and metal retaining much of its orig finish with a like-new shiny bore and matching bayonet with scabbard. CONDITION: Very fine overall. Bbl retains 97-98% orig blue finish with areas fading and turning scattered scratches and small cosmetic blemishes. Bore is excellent with crisp, shiny rifling. Lock and hammer retain about 95% of their muted case colors with balance silver/grey. Brass is very good overall with small dings, dents and scratches with light mustard color. Stock is sound and solid with numerous small storage scratches, dings and dents. Inspector's cartouches are fairly crisp. Mechanics are crisp. 52865-3 JS (1,250-1,750)
