Lot consists of: Gun (A) Remington Rolling Block rifle. Looks to be a New York contract rifle with shield knurling on bock and hammer. Markings are worn but you can see a US inspector stamp "H" on left side. No cartouche on wood. CONDITION: All metal is chocolate patina. Wood has numerous abrasions. Piece is missing off wrist at tang. Several replaced screws on frame. Missing ramrod. Top of comb has serrations applied with a knife. Close to relic condition but does shoot the .50-70 cartridge. Bore is dark and pitted. Gun (B) Evans .44 rifle. Features full octagon barrel. CONDITION: Forend wood is missing. Very good walnut stock with ship at left wrist. All metal is a deep brown patina with some salt and pepper texture. Strong bore. Gun (C) Remington New York State Model 1871 Rolling Block Carbine. "HBH" cartouche on left wrist for Henry B. Hart; the Remington New York State Rolling Block is the only arm observed with his stamp. Shield checkering on hammer and block. "B" inspector mark on left side of barrel. Right side of stock is unit marked "STA". Rear sight has been replaced with two leaf folding military rear. CONDITION: Metal is a brown-grey patina with heavy salt and pepper on barrel, heavy age freckling on frame. Wood is excellent with usual marks. Fine action. Strong, clean rifled bore. Nice example of a scarce carbine with no original condition. These three antique rifles could all use some care but are complete.
