Model 1898 Krag-Jorgensen rifle manufactured by Springfield Armory in 1900. Gun features a full wood military stock with "JSA" cartouche, "P" in circle cartouche and dated 1900. Blued military barrel with blade front sight and graduated military rear sight. Blued action and magazine box. Blued metal hardware. Comes with original style blade bayonet(missing sheath) dated 1900 and marked "US" and original style leather military sling. CONDITION: Overall good with 70% metal finish remaining and an excellent bore. Wood has been cleaned but all cartouches are visible and readable with minor dings and scratches. Bayonet is in good condition with blade having a bright shiny finish (possibly cleaned). Leather sling is oil soaked and has some minor cracks. Mechanically sound and functions fine.
