Serial number 34306 falls into the early Custer range of 33000-43700 and has all the correct early features including non-stamped pinned 1873 rear right, early long fat wrist, smooth trigger, carbine buttplate with no trap or hole in stock for such. 1873 dated block and sideplate. Early non-dated "ESA" cartouche is visible but faint. Other features include front band with swivel (replacement), saddle ring and bar, and post front sight. CONDITION: All metal surfaces are a soft brown patina with sharp legends. Stocks are excellent with just some minor handling marks and a ring groove on left side. Bore has sharp lands and grooves with just some minor residue. A very clean Custer 7th range carbine. Comes with data sheet indicating that this carbine is all correct and never went through the 1879-80 rebuild program.
