Action is a reproduction of a A.O. Zischang style and is magnificently engraved and case colored. Fitted with double set triggers. Pistol grip buttstock is made of figured European walnut. Nickel-plated buttplate is of the style used by A.O. Zischang. Forearm is checkered and made of wood to match the buttstock with an ebony insert at the tip. The stocks are paneled in front and back of the action. Forearm is also fitted with a custom palm rest showing both Walker and Schoyen features. The barrel is 31", full octagon, No. 4 weight. Front sight is a Winchester wind gauge with spirit level, rear sight is a Walker style reproduction sight with windage in the base and fitted to a tang base integral to the action. Accompanying this rifle are a pair of medals and a letter. The medals were not won with this rifle but were won by Long at one of the many competitions he dominated, while the letter details the acquisition of the rifle and medals from Long himself. CONDITION: Action shows virtually no wear or fading. Buttstock shows only the most minor of handling marks and scratches. Forearm shows little to no wear. Barrel shows almost no wear. Action is good, excellent bore. This rifle is a phenomenal example of some of the finest work in a firearm by a true master. TR
