Truly exceptional Colt M16A1 machine gun in near mint unfired condition with accessories just as it would have come in its original box. No box present, but consignor has included a Colt 15 round magazine in addition to the Colt 30 round magazine. Other accessories include an original April 1977 military issue operators manual TM 9-1005-249-10, sealed 5.56 mm bandoleer pack with 7 cardboards, 14 stripper clips, clip guide and bandoleer, a sealed original "Seawest Industries" military web sling, and sealed military cleaning rod. Plastic muzzle cap at muzzle with original brown desiccant paper tube within the barrel. This is a true classic in the configuration so well known to American military personnel. Bayonet lug, triangular handguards, forward assist, and windage only adjustable rear sight. Only the absence of United States property markings and serial number range distinguish the gun from the ones taken into military service. CONDITION: Near mint overall appearance and finish with only the slightest of handling marks only discernible upon closest inspection. Bolt has been pulled back to check chamber which reveals moisture absorbent paper still in place. Bore not observed. Bolt face near mint. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun.
