The Eley Cartridge Company was founded by Charles and William Eley in London in the 1820s. This is a large display that measures 25" x 31" framed. This display is filled entirely with self contained brass cartridges. There are five rare pinfire rounds, a center display of 12 .450 yhtu .577 British rounds, 12 Spencer rounds, 14 Winchester and Marlin rounds, along with .303, No. 1 Express, Peabody Martini, with numerous hand-gun cartridges. Of over 84 cartridges, the only one missing is the 7mm WS round. Fine original red painted wood liner with beige cardboard back-board and red printing. CONDITION: Few scuffs and some light soiling inside but still crisp. Outer frame has some chipping to finish. Some really scarce cartridges on this early British board. DB
