Standard configuration, with iron butt cap and brass trigger guard. Stirrup rammer. Barrel stamped US, JHP. The flat lock with "(Eagle) / AH Waters Co. / Milbury Mass / 1848." CONDITION: The barrel is polished bright over old pitting. Markings are crisp. The lock is polished. Stock is in good condition, with tiny inspector's mark WD(?). Hammer will not hold on cock. Bore is very good. Flayderman refers to these flat lock Waters as "an enigma, as it is not officially adopted or issued arm, but a distinct model belonging in any collection of US martial pistols."
