Introduced in 1996, the Ohio Ordnance 1918A3 uses a combination of a new-made receiver and GI-surplus components to make a semi-automatic closed bolt copy of the Browning Automatic Rifle. The top of the receiver bears the model and caliber markings, with the "CHARDON, OH" address over the patent and three-digit serial number. Barrel is marked "M 1919 R 528" on the top between the receiver and carry handle, "7.62x51" on the left side.
Looks just like the World War II 1918A2 model with black plastic stock, wood forend and carry handle. Bipod. One proper 7.62x51 magazine. Brief research shows that there was a very limited production run of these in this caliber as opposed to the standard .30-06 for use by reenactors. CONDITION: Retains 90% original finish overall with some light handling marks. All markings are clear. Stocks are fine with light handling marks. Fine bore. Fine mechanical function. GR
