This handsome Model 1873 .32 rifle was made in 1893. The factory letter confirms this entire gun with exception to sights which are not mentioned. It is standard in all respects with exception to the scarce Winchester tang sight as seen on page 180 in the Madis book along with Beach front sight. Features full octagon barrel, full magazine, buckhorn rear sight, blue finish with case hardened hammer, lever and rifle butt. CONDITION: Outstanding, with just a hint of high edge wear, the frame retains approximately 97% original high polish factory blue finish. The barrel and tube retain about 98% blue as well with just minor high edge wear and sharp legends. The lever and hammer retain some bright case color while the butt has patterned out. There is no trapdoor in buttplate. The stocks have the deluxe finish, are proud to metal, and aside from a few handling marks remain in near mint condition. The bore shines like a mirror and the action is crisp. One would be hard pressed to find a finer example of this American classic. DB
