Serial number 1643618 manufactured by Colt in 1944. Correct military inspector stamps in appropriate locations. Fitted with a National Match barrel bushing marked with SN 7267718 and "N" "M" on face. National Match barrel stamped on lug "NM" 7267717 "COLT'S MFG. CO." 2243145. Pistol originally having a parkerized finish, now blue. CONDITION: Hammer and trigger are polished bright with an "engine turned" treatment. Pistol has been completely refinished, with most of the reapplied blue remaining. Edges are rounded from polishing. Bore is excellent bright and clean. Correct "Coltwood" plastic grips with large reinforcing rings and strengthening ribs, and mold numbers. Action functions well. Comes with two extra clips. Overall a good "shooter" grade WWII era 1911 -MKS-
