Professionally custom made, 12 gauge, percussion, over & under double barrel shotgun. The quality of work on this unique percussion shotgun is unsurpassed. The receiver appears to have been completely machined and polished, out of a solid block of steel. Made to separate with removal of one allen head screw. Single trigger. 29" barrels with interchangeable choke tubes. Matted and ventilated barrel rib. Receiver is tastefully engraved with simple scrolls, with a gold hunting dog and quail on left side, and a ringneck pheasant in flight on left side. Bottom of receiver is hand engraved: "DON DAUGHERTY" 2 piece checkered stock and forearm. Black rubber recoil pad. Overall a most attractive and well made custom, percussion shotgun. CONDITION: Fine, retaining virtually all of the finishes applied at time of construction and a few extremely minor handling marks. Action works appropriately when operated by hand, bores are excellent, bright and shiny. PROVENANCE: From the Carl Balderson Jr. Estate Collection. -MKS-
