Made in 1928 on a 1-1/2 frame with 30" Acme barrels that have a matted top rib and steel front bead. Barrel flats with Parker overload proof marks and grade marking. Made with double triggers, auto ejectors, and auto safety. Splinter forend is checkered in standard CHE grade pattern with engraved Deeley release and steel tip. The stunning case hardened action is engraved with two quail on the right, a single quail on the left, and a large pheasant in game scene on the bottom all surrounded by well executed Parker scroll. Blued trigger guard with burst of scroll at bow and tang with serial number. Beautiful French walnut stocks with tear drop behind action, silver stock shield and terminates with what appears to be its original Hawkins brand pad. CONDITION: Extremely fine and near mint. Barrels retain 97% original blued finish with minor handling marks more on right tube at grip area. Action retains virtually all of its bold original Parker Bros. case color which is particularly deep and vivid, and just starting to tone on fences and top tang. Stocks are sound and retain nearly all of their original finish with only minor handling marks. Trigger guard retains about 85% original blued finish. The gun has been fired, but extremely well taken care of. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. Easily one of the finest CHE guns we have ever offered and suitable for the most discerning collector and investor. JSL
