Manufactured 1932, first year of production. Wide front sight and wide square notch rear sight. Colt National Match rollmark on right side, left side of slide with 2-line, 1-block address and patent information. Slide is numbered to frame under the firing pin retaining pin channel. Barrel with "MB" in circle on left side of lug. "R" and "T" subinspector marks near disconnector. Checkered spurred hammer, left side only safety, slide release, magazine release, and short trigger. Long 1911A1 grip safety, checkered arched mainspring housing. Fully checkered walnut grips. 2-tone magazine with "COLT / 45 AUTO" on baseplate. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally restored. Retains virtually all of the bluing with a few very minor spots of silvering from reciprocation and one small mark at the slide stop hole. There is some extremely fine pitting on left side of slide near legends under the blue. Barrel chamber has been polished and has some old inactive oxidation near muzzle and at chamber. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is fine with strong rifling. A rare Colt from when Colt was making some of their finest guns. EW
