New Ithaca Gun hammer shotgun made by Ithaca Gun Company, Ithaca, New York in 1899. Twist steel barrels with matted rib and bead front sight with line engraved breeches. Rare 26" factory barrels. Case hardened boxlock action with "NEW ITHACA GUN" across each side of lock. Gun has double triggers and extractors. Walnut checkered round knob pistol grip stock with Ithaca logo bakelite buttplate. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with friction release. CONDITION: 60% original twist pattern Damascus finish remaining. 10% fading case colors with balance turning a silvery patina. Wood has possibly been cleaned but well done. Screws have been turned. Good bores and mechanics. DLM
