Exquisitely engraved sidelock, side opening lever side by side double marked "M. Donckier Arq Liege" on bottom of frame who was in business from 1898 to 1938 in Liege, Belgium. Blued steel barrels with matted rib with bead front sight and sling swivel. Exquisitely engraved sidelock action with full coverage vignettes and floral patterns "M. Donckier Arq Liege" in banner on bottom of action. Action has sideclips with double triggers and ejectors with fully engraved opening lever and trigger guard with action having a silver coin finish. Walnut checkered English grip style stock with checkered butt and sling swivel with carved teardrop pattern behind locks. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with push button release and full coverage engraved iron. CONDITION: 80% fading blue with wear on corners and some freckling and some nicks and dings near sling swivel. Coin finish action and parts maintain a pleasing silver patina. Wood has traces of original hand rubbed finish with checkering still sharp. Gun has small dings and marks in wood. Bores show some small pits, but are shootable. Gun has good mechanics and locks up tight. A great artistic gun. DLM
