Browning Safari Grade Hi Power bolt action rifle. Made 1968 in Finland by Sako for Browning. Round steel barrel with blade front sight and flip up U-notch rear. Rifle retains its original front sight hood. Factory blued finish on the metal components with the bolt being polished from the factory. Light scroll engraving on the trigger guard. Bolt is electropencil matched to the barrel and receiver. Gloss finished wood stock with checkering on the forearm and wrist. "BROWNING" marked plastic butt plate. Factory drilled for a scope mount, in addition to factory installed sling studs. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its original finish with a few light handling marks and scratches. Wood is very good overall with minor scrapes and scratches. Bore retains crisp rifling. Mechanically excellent. JWA
CORRECTION: After further examination, it has been found that this Browning Hi Power rifle has a saltwood stock.
