Engraving done by W. H. Simmons in 1874 called "To Near the Warpath" originally from a painting done by George H. Boughton, a self taught artist from England who migrated to Albany, New York. The engraving features a frontiersman with a buckskin outfit holding a cocked and ready rifle and a young woman holding a bonnet hiding behind a tree while Native Americans pass on the Warpath. Print is framed in period looking decorative wood frame with print under glass and marked in pencil with artists name. Work measures 31" x 39 - 1/2". CONDITION: Overall good with frame in excellent shape and print in good condition. A neat decorative piece with early American look and feel. DLM
