Archival framed and matted typed letter by Theodore Roosevelt. Site 6 1/2" x 7 1/2". Framed with images of Roosevelt and Lincoln. Overall 24 1/2" x 16". Dated November 14, 1914 on his personal letterhead New York City. Letter is addressed to O.K. Davis, Esq. Secretary , Progressive National Committee. TR's opinion of the 1914 election is reflected in this letter. Roosevelt cites an attributed quote of Lincoln's; "that you could not fool all of the people all of the time. He explicitly admitted that you could fool all of the people part of the time- and this is a portion of that part of the time!". CONDITION: Excellent.
