Lot consists of (A) Savage Model 99 lever action rifle. Made 1952. Chicopee Falls barrel address with "HI-PRESSURE STEEL-PROOF TESTED" marked on the right side. Savage proof on the left side of the chamber. 24" round steel barrel with blade front sight and buckhorn style rear. Original blued finish on the metal components. Oil finished wood stocks with checkering on the forearm and wrist. Serrated metal butt plate. Includes attached "WHITETAIL HUNTER" marked leather sling and Simmons Whitetail 2 - 10x44 scope. Redfield mount, unmarked rings. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with some light wear, handling marks, and wear. Wood has a few handling marks and scratches. Sharp rifling in the bore. Mechanically fine. Scope has some exterior handling marks, optic is clear. Sling has some light wear. (B) Savage Model 99 lever action rifle. Made 1949. Chicopee Falls barrel address with "HI-PRESSURE STEEL-PROOF TESTED" marked on the right side. Savage proof on the left side of the chamber. 24" round steel barrel with blade front sight and buckhorn style rear. Original blued finish on the metal components. Frame drilled and tapped for a scope mount. Oil finished wood stocks with checkering on the forearm and wrist. Serrated metal butt plate. Buttstock and forearm are drilled for sling swivels. Includes attached Redfield peep sight. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its original finish with wear and handling marks. There is some patina forming on the frame. Wood has some dings, scratches, and handling marks. Bore has some frosting with good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
