Lot consists of (A) Smith & Wesson Model of 1905 4th Change double action revolver. Made circa 1920s. Top of the barrel is marked "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS.U.S.A./PATENTED FEB.6.06.SEPT.14.09.DEC.29.14". Trademark found on the left side of the frame, and "MADE IN U.S.A." on the right side. Square butt frame. 6 shot fluted cylinder. Matching serials on the butt, barrel, and cylinder. Matching assembly numbers on the frame and yolk. Round steel barrel with half moon front sight blade and U-notch cutout rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Case colored smooth face trigger and knurled hammer. Checkered wood grip with "S&W" monogram medallions. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish with light finish wear some gray patina forming on the frame. Grips have a few handling marks and scratches. Bore is lightly frosted with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Sharp timing and lockup. Light drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. (B) Smith & Wesson Model 18-3 double action revolver. Made 1971. Company logo and address on the right side of the frame. Square butt frame. 6 shot fluted cylinder. The inside of the left grip has a previous owners Social Security number etched in. Pinned round steel barrel with ramped blade front sight and adjustable U-notch rear. Front sight blade has been painted red. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Case colored serrated trigger with knurled spurred hammer. Checkered wood target grips with "S&W" monogram medallions. CONDITIONS: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with some light wear and a few freckles of surface rust on the frame, cylinder, and barrel. Wood has a few dings and scratches. Crisp rifling in the bore. Tight hammer and cylinder. Crisp lockup and timing. Drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. JWA
